As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding as needed. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience are required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and report any security-related issues or hazards observed during patrols, documenting incidents as required by site protocols.
Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed, following established protocols for government locations.
Control access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and helping to maintain order within the premises.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to changing situations, adapting to the unique environment of a government correctional facility.
