As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you monitor designated areas, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business and its perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and check credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and other required documentation.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to identify potential security-related concerns and report them appropriately.
  • Follow all Allied Universal protocols and guidelines while performing duties as an armed patrol officer.
