As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will be visible throughout your post, engaging with those on site and supporting a secure environment, all while embodying our values of agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those that may require the use of an armed presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and monitor for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the location to assist in maintaining a secure environment.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies, procedures, and post orders related to armed security-related functions.
