About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Fleet Patrol Driver in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal on an armed, primarily driving patrol post supporting a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and customer-focused professionalism. This role requires a valid armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. You will thrive in a caring, people-first team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by integrity.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; assess conditions and coordinate with property management and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Prepare complete and accurate written reports of incidents, suspicious activity, patrol observations, and corrective actions; maintain required logs and documentation.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as radios, CCTV, and access control systems; follow post orders for weapon handling, inspections, and secure storage in accordance with policy.
