About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Command in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree with 60 College Credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through established channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with post orders and location requirements.
- Support public-facing operations by assisting employees, visitors, and officials with directions, information, and/or de-escalation during security-related events.
