As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license (will be required for driving positions only).

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout government transit locations, facilities, parking areas, platforms, offices, and perimeter areas as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry, prohibited activity, and/or policy violations.
  • Work collaboratively with site leadership, transit personnel, and public agencies during routine operations, special events, and/or emergency situations.
