As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, clear communication. You will complete routine patrols, document observations, and support staff and visitors with a customer-first approach. Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A Level III armed certification is required for Texas only.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and/or public personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and conduct security-related screening and/or identification checks as required by post orders, documenting activity in reports and logs.
  • Complete written and/or electronic incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
