Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree and/or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or local law enforcement as needed.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, screening for prohibited items per site procedures, and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
  • Prepare timely, accurate written reports and maintain required logs documenting patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site policy.
