As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will document activities, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and deliver customer-focused support with integrity. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possessing a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols on a regular and random basis throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access control points and security-related systems, verify credentials, and assist with directing authorized traffic and deliveries in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts to help to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized activity.
