As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, delivering outstanding customer service and communication while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in a teamwork-driven environment.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas within the cultural institution to help to deter disruptive behavior and support a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff.
Report and document any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Interact with visitors, staff, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance as appropriate.
Remain alert to the unique needs and sensitivities of a cultural institution setting while performing assigned duties.
