About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Ingress Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location supporting access control operations, where you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document activity while providing clear, professional communication. This is an armed, driving post requiring an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree in criminal justice.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License or unarmed guard security license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for unusual activity, respond to alarms and/or access control notifications, and escalate concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, noting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
