As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and a Level III armed certification. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement/corrections/military experience or 5+ years armed security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, employees, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or medical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store management and local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Control access and monitor activity at key points such as entrances, loading areas, and high-traffic zones, assisting with crowd flow and/or closing procedures as assigned.
  • Document incidents, patrols, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, preserving relevant details and following Allied Universal and site reporting guidelines.
