As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed post.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Assist with access control, verifying identification, and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
- Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
- Support emergency response efforts, including coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Follow all site-specific and Allied Universal protocols for handling firearms and maintaining weapon security.
