As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Portland, ME, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver strong customer service. Requirements

• At least 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience is required.
• Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED.
• Be at least 21+ Years of Age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Valid Firearms Permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, including lobby and transaction areas, ATM and vestibule spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter as applicable.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to post orders.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, checking credentials as required, directing visitors, and reporting unusual activity to on-site management and/or local responders when appropriate.
• Complete routine security-related reports, incident logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate key information during shift handoff and/or through approved reporting channels.
