As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrol in Schaumburg, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone on-site. This armed position requires a guard card/license. Requirements

Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and check credentials of individuals entering or exiting the facility.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns or disruptions.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors as needed.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and suspicious activities according to company procedures.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement as required during emergency situations.
Operate and handle assigned weapons in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
