About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrol in Independence, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

A minimum of three years combined law enforcement military or security experience or a college degree is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
An active Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the facility.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Collaborate with site personnel to support security-related operations and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Participate in training and drills related to emergency response and use of force, as applicable to an armed post.
