About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Patrol in Morganfield, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence and exceptional customer service will support a welcoming atmosphere. Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgement and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Report and document any irregularities, security-related incidents, or suspicious behavior according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during critical events or emergencies.
  • Assist with crowd control and manage disturbances to help maintain order within the healthcare location.
  • Provide visible armed presence and assistance during patient or visitor emergencies, as directed by site leadership or Allied Universal management.
