As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This armed position involves engaging with staff, patients, and visitors while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a New Jersey RPO certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and incidents.
Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, looking for potential security-related issues or hazards throughout the facility.
