Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Driver in Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and monitor assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is both an armed and driving post. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, serving as a visible presence to promote a secure environment. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgement.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure location.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and law enforcement when necessary to address incidents and emergencies.
Remain alert to unusual activities or conditions that may require intervention or escalation, and respond according to site procedures.
