As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated healthcare locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold a New Jersey RPO certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents within the healthcare environment.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions, information, and security-related concerns as needed.
  • Document and report any incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as outlined by site-specific procedures, including evacuations or lockdowns if required.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters.
