As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated shelter locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents while fostering a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or armed security-related experience.
Must pass a Physical Fitness Exam (1 mile run - 12 minutes, 22 sit ups, 12 push ups).
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols within the shelter location and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual circumstances.
Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any irregularities.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Interact with individuals at the location in a courteous and respectful manner while upholding security-related standards and procedures.
Assist with crowd management, access control, and/or other duties as assigned by Allied Universal leadership or site management.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or security-related incidents as needed, following established protocols.
