As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will conduct regular patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Act 235 Qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with controlling the flow of individuals entering or exiting the location.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal’s standards and client requirements.
Assist medical staff and visitors as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergency situations or alarms in accordance with site protocols.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and/or other defensive tools as required by the post profile and local regulations.
