About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrols in Riverview, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information as needed.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying identification and/or credentials as required for entry to restricted areas.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, activities, and observations during the shift.
