About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrols in Riverview, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.
Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information as needed.
Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Support access control procedures by verifying identification and/or credentials as required for entry to restricted areas.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, activities, and observations during the shift.
