As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required as mandated by the client.
  • At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate, in a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and to monitor for unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of activities and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and emergency responders as needed during incidents or drills to support the overall security-related needs of the location.
  • Uphold the professional standards of Allied Universal while interacting with all individuals on the premises.
