As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will deliver through teamwork and act with integrity while providing outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, donors, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Help to monitor access to the healthcare facility, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with visitor check-in and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and/or facility alarms, and report information per location procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations, and document findings as required.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, participate in shift briefings, and communicate with location personnel and emergency services as needed to support security-related operations.
