You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls and observations with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

An armed guard card and/or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or vehicle credentials, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in and escort procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public responders as required.
Complete accurate written and/or electronic reports, document patrol findings and incidents, and communicate shift activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
