You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls and observations with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or vehicle credentials, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in and escort procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public responders as required.
• Complete accurate written and/or electronic reports, document patrol findings and incidents, and communicate shift activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
