As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols and engaging with the public to deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Being at least 21 years of age is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry to restricted areas as required by site policies.
Document and report observations, incidents, and/or any unusual activity according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following established procedures for armed personnel.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential security-related risks or hazards within the government environment.
