About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols in Lumberton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. This role involves both armed responsibilities and driving duties. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to staff, visitors, and/or residents.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and training requirements as outlined by Allied Universal.
