Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Route in Laurinburg, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service and communication. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
A valid firearms permit is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit from restricted areas.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by the location.
Communicate and collaborate with staff, visitors, and local authorities as needed to support security-related objectives.
Remain alert and observant while on duty, reporting any suspicious activity or potential threats to the appropriate personnel.
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for handling security-related incidents and emergencies.
Maintain proficiency in the use of assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company and location policies.
