As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal working in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for those on site. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through professional communication. Requirements

  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies for the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence while patrolling to help to deter potential disturbances within the government location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points, reporting any unusual activity according to established procedures.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports as needed and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors while upholding site protocols and contributing to a secure environment.
