As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal working in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for those on site. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through professional communication. Requirements

At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies for the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain a visible presence while patrolling to help to deter potential disturbances within the government location.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points, reporting any unusual activity according to established procedures.
Complete required documentation and incident reports as needed and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors while upholding site protocols and contributing to a secure environment.
