This position requires you to be armed and operate a vehicle as part of your duties. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or security-related hazards within the location.
Work closely with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the site.
Follow all protocols regarding the handling and carrying of authorized arms while on duty.
