Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required as specified by the client and/or local regulations.
Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, ensuring only authorized personnel are present within restricted areas.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents occurring within the location.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and/or contractors.
Complete accurate and timely documentation of all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
