About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Facility Patrols in Hialeah, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
One or more of the following is required: at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A college degree is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A corrections officer license is required.
One or more of the following is required: DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree or 60 college credits, police academy certificate, or corrections academy certificate.
A law enforcement officer license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site-specific protocols.
Document and report all observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behaviors and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
Operate communication devices and/or security-related technology to support patrol and response activities as necessary for the location.
