About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Facility Patrols in Hialeah, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent is required.
  • One or more of the following is required: at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A corrections officer license is required.
  • One or more of the following is required: DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree or 60 college credits, police academy certificate, or corrections academy certificate.
  • A law enforcement officer license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Document and report all observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behaviors and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Operate communication devices and/or security-related technology to support patrol and response activities as necessary for the location.
