As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. You will complete routine patrols, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

Have 2+ years of security experience.
Have an armed guard card/license.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffs/pepper spray/baton is preferred.
CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all visitors and personnel at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and document entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification of appropriate contacts, and coordination with public-sector partners as directed.
Complete detailed written reports and maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and observations; communicate relevant information during shift turnover and/or through established reporting channels.
