About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Campus Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior.
Interact with the public and site personnel, providing assistance and information as required.
Document and report incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
Carry and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company and location-specific guidelines.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary to support incident response and resolution.
