Security Officer - Armed Front Desk

As a Security Officer - Armed Front Desk in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service while managing access control and monitoring visitor activity. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a strong presence at the front desk and supporting a welcoming environment. This is an armed position, where you will utilize your training and uphold our core values of integrity, teamwork, and care, while leveraging technology and communication skills to support a secure and positive atmosphere for staff and guests.
Requirements
- Level III Armed Certification in Texas is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials of visitors, vendors, and employees.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Assist with emergency response activities as required, including alerting appropriate personnel and coordinating with first responders.
- Maintain accurate logs and/or reports of daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences as required by site protocols.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related concerns.
