About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Foot Patrol in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal on an armed patrol post supporting a fast-paced tech and media location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to reports, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in an agile, reliable, and innovative environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security-related procedures, badge requirements, and post orders at a technology location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems such as CCTV and alarms, verify authorization, and document entries, exits, and unusual activity.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, preserve information for investigations, and carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and local requirements.
