As an Armed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds, stay highly visible, and respond to incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. You will help maintain access control and document security-related activity using computer and/or tablet tools as needed. Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Control access where assigned by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor authorization, and directing visitors and/or deliveries according to posted procedures.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol findings, incidents, and resident concerns, and communicate observations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
