As an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and reports with calm, clear communication. You will document activities, support access control, and provide strong customer service to employees and visitors. This role requires an Armed Guard Card and/or License, backed by Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, and perimeter points, watching for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or loss.
• Control access at gates and building entry points by verifying identification and credentials, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and directing traffic flow as required by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, and/or medical emergencies, and coordinate with site contacts and public responders as directed.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, radios, alarms, and access control, and complete detailed reports and logs regarding observations, patrols, and incidents.
