As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to issues with calm professionalism. You will check doors, gates, and access points, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or have a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a government location by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Carry and maintain assigned duty gear in accordance with licensing requirements, post instructions, and applicable laws, and use sound judgment to help to deter prohibited activity.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas and/or monitoring for unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with onsite personnel and/or public responders, and assisting with scene control as directed.
• Complete security-related reports and documentation such as daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate key information during shift briefings and post handoffs.
