About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Patrol Team in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for clients and visitors. Requirements

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for any suspicious or unusual activity and report findings according to site protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats or criminal activity within the financial institution environment.
Document all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and/or other security-related equipment as required by the post profile and site policies.
Work collaboratively with site personnel and law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
