You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. Communicate clearly with staff and visitors, respond with professionalism and integrity, and contribute to an agile, reliable, innovative team with a caring culture that puts people first. Armed guard card/license required.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, monitoring visitor activity, and maintaining awareness of employee and contractor movement as required by site procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and/or client contacts.
