About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Financial in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements
- Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution setting.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, completing required documentation, and notifying appropriate contacts per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including public areas, work spaces, and the exterior perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, escalating issues according to established protocols.
- Complete patrol logs and incident reports and/or other required documentation, and communicate relevant updates to onsite management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
