About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Perimeter Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist guests and store teams with clear communication and customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements and Texas Level III Armed Certification. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, team members, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail grocery location.
• Carry and maintain authorized duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies, including completing required checks and documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed, and assisting with incident documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor cameras and alarm systems when assigned, complete routine reports, and communicate observations and/or incidents to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
