About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Perimeter Patrol in Memphis, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as required.
  • Control access at designated entrances and restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor flow, and reporting suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
  • Complete incident reports and patrol logs, preserve observations for follow-up, and communicate shift activity to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
