As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, professional judgment. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and clear communication while partnering with site leaders to document activity and follow post orders. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Have CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific policies, access control procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, assistance with disorderly persons, and coordination with clinical staff and local responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
• Maintain readiness and proper handling of assigned firearm and other authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state requirements, and post orders, including completing required checks and documentation.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, preserve observations and evidence as directed, and communicate security-related information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
