About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to incidents with calm communication and strong customer service. This role is armed and requires a valid drivers license to support patrol coverage and rapid response. Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization, and document entries and exits in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Complete required reports such as shift logs, incident reports, and activity reports, and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal post requirements.
