About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Courthouse Patrol in Warrenton, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a government location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Perform armed patrol duties, including regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, with working environments and conditions varying by post.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor credentials, and directing visitors according to posted procedures and site instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or public law enforcement as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and operate security-related systems and equipment such as radios, CCTV, and intrusion detection as assigned.
