About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Courthouse Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, bringing your Armed Guard Card and strong communication skills to support day to day operations. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or concerns, and deliver professional customer service to staff and visitors. You will be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and local public resources as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points and screen for authorized entry, following established protocols for identification, keys, badges, and visitor processing.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
